Joliet Mayor Asks Residents to Help Support Family in Need – Tragic Loss of Esters and Nance Family

The victims have been identified as Christine Esters, 38; William Esters, 35; Tameaka Nance, 47; Joshua Nance, 31; Alexandria Nance, 20; Alonnah Nance, 16; and Angel Nance, 14.

“We are a city of roughly 150,000 residents, but we are also a close-knit community. The entire city is grieving with the families affected by this tragedy,” stated Mayor D’Arcy.

Mayor D’Arcy has taken the initiative to raise awareness and gather financial resources for the families, aiming to reach a target of $50,000 by the end of the week. Currently, they have received just under $20,000 in donations.

“Joliet residents have some of the biggest hearts in the region, and now is the time for us to come together and help our own,” added Mayor D’Arcy.
