LA SALLE COUNTY, TX. (KGNS) – Texas DPS officials have identified the victim of a fatal rollover accident that took place on Monday morning on I-35. The unfortunate individual who lost their life in this devastating incident has been identified as Ernesto Alonso Rodriguez-Ramirez, a resident of Roma, Texas.
According to preliminary reports from law enforcement, Rodriguez-Ramirez was a passenger in a white truck that tragically rolled over multiple times near mile marker 22. The driver of the vehicle was fortunate to escape with their life and was rushed to a Laredo hospital, where they are currently in stable condition.
Authorities believe the treacherous road conditions caused the collision. Ice covering the road’s surface made it extremely hazardous for drivers, leading to many accidents. The Texas DPS reported 14 crashes on I-35 between 5 a.m. and 9 a.m. that morning.
Ernesto Alonso Rodriguez-Ramirez’s untimely passing is a heartbreaking loss for his family, friends, and the entire Roma community. As we mourn his tragic departure, it is important to remember his life and the impact he had on those around him.
La Salle County, located in southern Texas, is known for its beautiful landscapes and close-knit communities. Situated near the Mexican border, the region offers a rich cultural heritage and a thriving agricultural industry.
Our thoughts and prayers go out to the loved ones of Ernesto Alonso Rodriguez-Ramirez during this difficult time. May they find strength and solace in the support of their community, and may Ernesto’s memory be cherished forever.
